Heresy, a word that in most people cause terror and contempt, but ... actually means? For if we go to the etymology of this word, we can see that comes from the Greek word "Heresis" means choice. The choice within the Catholic Church is, of course, something frowned upon, it is a crime.
The Catholic religion is based on dogmas, which must be followed strictly. You do not have the freedom to choose, as chosen by a church. One is forbidden to choose their beliefs, or vision about the religion, for example, choose whether to believe in any dogma, is considered a heresy, because believers do not have the option of doubt. The church is managed pro dogmas, which ought to believe and follow without question, just so does the church.
Heresy for the Catholic religion is bad, but if we think of the above ... It's really bad? Is harmful to have the freedom to choose?
